Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces and Hyundai L&C Corp. have announced a joint-venture agreement to operate a 125,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Temple. Both companies needed to expand production lines because of increased demand for solid surface.
This agreement enables Hyundai L&C to expand their business not only in United States, Canada but also in South America market. With the establishment of the joint venture, Hyundai L&C will be able to establish a long term growth base in America solid surface market. It is able to launch new products with the highest level in the industry, and further strengthen the status in the market by expanding its distribution network and improving customer accessibility. In addition, it plans to concentrate on the convenience and service of consumers through ‘One week delivery’ based on the logistics competitiveness with geographical advantage.
Construction will begin in early 2018, however, a projected opening date has not yet been set.
Wilsonart Engineered Surface manufactures and distributes High Pressure Laminate, Quartz, Solid Surface and other engineered surface materials applicable for furniture, office, and kitchen countertops.
